Working with farm animal livestock ranging from chickens, ducks, quail, rabbits, crickets, mealworms and fish, students learn animal care and treatment as well as diagnose pathology, create feed, and leverage wastes and learn sanitation and hygiene.

Discovering the physical, material, and ecological laws of sustainability by exploring what makes a a system sustainable and why most systems fail to meet these criteria.

Tours of Mezzacello are on offer every Sunday through the Fall. Winter tours can be scheduled but they are reserved for specific purposes and groups. Tours resume in April on Sundays, unless otherwise noted. Group Tours can be arranged by contacting Jim Bruner at jim@Mezzacello.org

MEZZACELLO AT YOUR SITE

Mezzacello Urban Farm have Four Mobile Labs that can be deployed to your site with a valid booked date. All mobile labs have onboard power, 5G wifi, and a 50" monitor with access to a keyboard, mouse, and light. The wheels are designed to roll on turf or concrete or gym floors.

Mobile Livestock Lab

Animals and syststems for Feeding, Caring for, and handling animals safely. This lab comes with a complement of two species of livestock animals and if the season allows, baby animals. There is also a mobile sanitation and handwashiong station included.

Mobile Engineering Lab

Simple machines and mechanical systems deployed in a convenient mobile lab that has materials and guides for creating five different design challenges.

Mobile Data Lab

The mobile data lab is used to deploy at schools to create a central database that students can access through the open-source AIRTABLE cloud. a series of experiments can be deployed for students to test, and then collect data and create trends and hypothesis based on the data available. This system can also be deployed with a Minecraft server.

Mobile Renewable Resources Lab

Allows students to create soil, fertilizers and distill water all from one lab. Then the system allows the students to create planting trays using the resources they just created.

Mobile Energy Lab

This mopbile lab is a soft and safe introduction to the basics of electricity, circuits, and renewable power systems. Students can build a mobile phone chargin ststion using piezoelectric walking pads, or wire together a circuit to allow for the introduction of circuit breakers, resistors, and fuses. They can also light up an entire classroom using one 9 volt battery.

Mobile Environmental CSI Lab

This mobile lab allows students to use environmental sensors to create a "climate crime map" of their environment and then use that data to better understand their soil, water, and air quality metrics against baseline standard. It ends with a discussion of steps society could take to solve these Eco Crimes.
